DEAR DIARY: I THINK I WANT TO DELETE MY INSTAGRAM.
Hey guys...I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I am so happy I've finally gotten back into the rhythm of blogging. Blogging is something I truly love to do..in the past I was quite inconsistent, however I've finally been able to fully get back into the swing of things. Saying that, I just wanted to take a moment to show my appreciation to all of my readers/viewers! Thank You guys so much for patiently waiting on me to finally get it together LOL..Thank you for always giving me your thoughtful feedback/two cents/positivity, YOU are appreciated :)
Personally, I enjoy posting/blogging on my website much more than posting on any Social Media App/Site. I think of my site as my "safe place." Although nothing is really safe on the SUPER public internet...I feel like the irrelevant/negative commentary never finds its way here (not yet anyway). I LOVE THAT. I like to think of my blog as a place where I can come to share my thoughts/ideas/inspiration/words of wisdom/advice. In return, I love hearing/seeing all of your feedback! Your feedback is actually what keeps me motivated to keep posting here otherwise I'd feel like I'm talking to myself lol. So to help keep me motivated to share, please don't be shy...share your thoughts and ideas as well....I want my blog to feel like our little "collaboration corner"!
In the future, I do plan on solely posting here on my blog, I feel it's much more productive and accurately represents who I actually am. I know Instagram is a great platform for me to promote my businesses, but I've grown to hate it for many reasons. The main reason being, on Instagram, people are so quick to judge others solely from photos. Since I pretty much only use IG for work, all the photos I post are of me dressed up in my boutique's clothing. Along with my clothing are shoes, purses and other materialistic things. These photos easily depict me to be some snobby, materialistic girl who just takes photos all day for "fun"...when in reality it is the complete opposite of who I am. All this to say, I HATE INSTAGRAM...and have thought about deleting my account more than a handful of times.
Anyway, on a lighter note...I hope we continue to keep my blog a positive place where we can eventually become a sisterhood/family. In the end, I want this to be a place where we can always come to be inspired, uplift others, as well as teach and learn from one another..whether it be about motherhood, fitness, fashion or home decor!
