TRAVEL CHANNEL-MOMMY&ME EDITION: OUR FIRST HAWAIIAN ADVENTURE

Hey loves!

As most of you have seen on my Instagram page, I recently went on a vacation. I didn’t take or post nearly as many photos of myself as I normally do, on this vacation, because it was actually a kids-cation! We hadn’t gone anywhere recently due to all of the construction that has been going on in my home, but my parents invited my son and me to Hawaii… Of course this was an offer we couldn’t refuse. Of course we couldn’t only bring Little P…so we also brought my niece, Rain as well! They had the BEST time!

Travel Diary

Day 1: Pool Day/Beach Day:

My son has been taking swimming lessons since he was tiny so he LOVES the water! We brought the kiddos to the pool as well as to the nearby man-made mini beach at the Hilton Village located in Waikiki Beach.

Day 2: ZOO Day:

Princey & Rain are BIG fans of the zoo…and really all things animals lol..so of course we had to take them to the Honolulu Zoo which is located in the Queen Kapiʻolani Park in Honolulu.

Zoo Information:

Address: 151 Kapahulu Ave, Honolulu, HI 96815

The Zoo is open daily from 9:00am to 4:30pm.

Admission: Under 2yrs old: FREE / 2-13yrs old: $11.00. / 13yrs old+ : $19.00

Not only did the kiddos enjoy the zoo…but my parents and I really enjoyed it as well. The size of the Zoo was perfect…not big enough to get lost in but at the same time big enough to house pretty much any animal…from turtles to elephants and monkeys…for a smaller zoo, it really had a nice variety of animals. The Zoo also had lots of trees to guarentee shade on even the sunniest of days.

The Finale! Our last day/night in Waikiki

On Our last Day/Night in Waikiki we decided to just relax…and watch the Oahu Fireworks after dinner at Roy’s.

Every Friday night the Hilton Hawaiian Village puts on a free fireworks show on Waikiki Beach. The fireworks show usually begins around 7:45pm or 8pm and lasts about ten minutes depending on the season and daylight hours. The kiddos loved this little show!

Wheew Chile…..you guys have to excuse me for this hot mess of a pic..lol I was tore up by the last night!…but this was the only group photo I had of us! P.S Traveling with two toddlers….and trying to look decent on vacation does NOT mix…lol

Here are few misc. photos from our trip!

Overall, I always thoroughly enjoy a Hawaii Trip!…I know some of you may be thinking..of course..a trip is always nice..lol but theres more to what i’m saying than that….. I love Hawaii because it gives you a nice mixture of vibes that most vacation destinations can’t give. For example, Hawaii is very close to Japan so a lot of the architure is inspired by the Japanese Culture..as you can see in the first photo in my “misc photos”. Hawaii is also obviously surrounded by water so of course it’s beautiful and naturally has the “island vacation feel.” Lastly, its still in the U.S…so its pretty Americanized..meaning its not TOO foreign….which means the majority of the people speak English…and finding “familiarl” food that we eat in the US is very easy! These are the main reasons why I would recommend Hawaii to all of my followers who have never been!
